Research & Evidence

We say supports,
not cures.

RETURN is built on a body of phytobiological research. We describe how it works, cite what backs it, and hold our language to what the science supports. This is that science.

Agriculture is no longer entering the Biological Age. It is remembering it.

Peer-Reviewed Field Research

Field-tested.
Independently published.

A 2023 peer-reviewed field study conducted by the creator-scientist's own institute found that Phytogenix application contributed to a reduction in fungal disease pressure and yield improvements in potato, across two field seasons in Chelyabinsk Oblast. It is a single study and we say so — but it is real, named-author, РИНЦ-indexed research on the actual product.

The Framework

One chain. One Health.

The WHO, FAO, WOAH, and UNEP share one principle called One Health: the health of soil, plants, animals, and people is one interconnected system. Every RETURN product sits on that chain.

Soil

Living soil is the foundation of all biological health

Plant

Healthy soil grows resilient, well-nourished plants

Animal

Healthy plants support healthier livestock

Human

Healthier animals can need fewer antibiotics

Planet

The whole chain, restored

Research Areas

Ten areas. One science.

The RETURN science vault maps phytobiological research across ten interconnected areas. Each claim below is drawn from SOLID-graded peer-reviewed science and held to careful, hedged language.

The Soil Microbiome

Foundation

Soil harbours billions of living organisms in a single teaspoon. They cycle nutrients, hold water in the ground, and help resist disease naturally. RETURN's work is designed to support this living community and contribute to the processes a healthy soil already knows how to run.

Soil Regeneration

Foundation

Around a third or more of the world's farmland soil is already degraded. Fertility is not a stockpile of nutrients — it is a living capacity, built by roots, fungi, and microbes. RETURN helps restore the organic matter and biological life that let soil hold water, feed crops, and rebuild itself.

Phytobiological Technologies

Mechanism

RETURN is built on plant essential oils and organic acids, without synthetic emulsifiers, alcohols, or preservatives. These plant compounds act at a microbe's outer membrane — well-understood, membrane-active mechanisms. We describe how they work and hold our language to what the science supports.

Antibiotic Alternatives

One Health

Around 1.27 million deaths in 2019 were directly attributable to antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The most durable answer is not a stronger antibiotic — it is keeping animals healthy enough to need fewer. RETURN's phytogenic approach is designed to support gut health and natural immunity.

One Health

Framework

The WHO, FAO, WOAH, and UNEP share one principle: the health of soil, plants, animals, and people is a single interconnected system. RETURN builds its entire product line around that chain, link by link, starting at the base.

Biological Plant Protection

Mechanism

Beneficial soil microbes suppress pathogens through four well-established mechanisms: competition for nutrients, iron sequestration, antibiosis, and priming the plant's own immune defenses. The most durable protection is not a stronger poison — it is a stronger plant.

Soil & Carbon

Sustainability

The world's soils hold more carbon than the atmosphere and all living plants combined. Building soil organic matter supports structure, water retention, and biological activity. We help return organic matter to the ground, and we don't sell tonnes of carbon or claim to offset anyone's emissions.

Soil Water Retention

Resilience

A drought is often a soil that has lost the ability to catch the rain it gets. Restoring soil organic matter helps soil hold more water — the living structure underneath lets rain soak in instead of running off. Living soil goes further between rains and stands up better to heavy downpours.

Livestock Gut Health

Animal Health

Inside an animal's gut lives a vast microbial community that helps it digest feed, keeps the gut wall strong, and helps train its immune system. RETURN's phytogenic feed approach is studied for its ability to support a balanced gut environment and healthy feed conversion.

Soil Health & Food Quality

Open Question

Does food grown in living soil have more nutrition? It is one of the most interesting open questions in farming, and the honest answer is: the science is still early. We won't pretend otherwise, and we won't dress up preliminary findings as a promise.

A note on our language

Restraint is the brand.

The agricultural industry is full of overclaiming. RETURN goes the other way. Every public claim we make is drawn from peer-reviewed science and written in careful verbs: supports, promotes, helps restore, enhances, contributes.

We don’t say cures, eliminates, prevents, or guarantees. We don’t attach percentages we haven’t measured ourselves. We’d rather measure a claim than borrow one, and we’d rather acknowledge an open question than pretend it is settled. That restraint is the brand.

The science is one part of the return.

RETURN is available now. If you’re a farmer, distributor, or investor, we’d like to hear from you.
